Fall in Love with Seasonal Favourites

The end of summer is upon us, but don’t be blue! After fresh fruit from the Summer season comes the warm and delicious flavours of Fall. Our season inspired feature menu will give you a delectable reason to fall in love with seasonal favourites! Fresh Healthy Cafe’s Roasted Turkey and Cran Panini and Pumpkin Spice Smoothie are a great way to start off the season.

Our roasted turkey panini is the perfect savoury-sweet balance of flavours. Layered roasted turkey topped with mozzarella cheese, spinach, red onion, dried cranberries and drizzled with our in-house made pomegranate-blueberry vinaigrette. It’s as yummy as it sounds!

Did you know that turkey is one of the healthiest sandwich meats? Turkey is high protein, low fat and low in calories!

 

As with all our Fresh Healthy Cafe menu items, our roasted turkey panini is packed with healthy and delicious ingredients. Spinach is part of the “powerhouse” family of vegetables along with others like beets, Swiss chard and kale. It is a great source of vitamins and especially iron which helps build healthy oxygen-carrying red blood cells.

The trifecta of antioxidants – blueberries, pomegranate and cranberries take this yummy panini to the next level of nutritious! These three fruits are top of the list of foods that are jam-packed with antioxidants. These little berries can help your body fight free radicals, improve your health while protecting your body from a number of diseases.

Our pumpkin spice smoothie is made with low-cal real pumpkin that taste just like a pumpkin pie!  Pumpkin isn’t only good for your heart but being rich in beta-carotene makes pumpkin good for your eyes, skin and hair while giving your body energy.  Blended with pumpkin spice, chai tea, almond milk and nonfat frozen yogurt, this smoothie welcomes the warmer flavours of the changing seasons.
